The company’s rise was established by coincidence: In the year 1945, between the currency reform and the economic miracle, the manufacturer from Offenbach,
     
    Gustav Scholl was confronted with a technical problem concerning gastronomy in his regular pub – precisely when they served him a hot stew which very quickly became cold. So the first prototype plate warmer was designed on a beer coaster, space-saving round in shape with a sliding door, running inwards    
    and a hot plate integrated into the top to keep the stew warm. The first SCHOLL heating product was born.
 
This product was modified over the years and still is sold to numerous clients worldwide under the product name “Plate warmer 2008”. After this entrance into the manufacturing of kitchen equipment, the company expanded rapidly. In 1951 they moved to Frankfurt and
 
soon afterwards specialized in heating devices for kitchens. About 1960 they relocated their production to Bad Marienberg in the Westerwald. On a site of about 10,000 sq meters a production plant and office building was constructed, which were continuously extended during the following years.

Today SCHOLL is considered to be amongst the world leaders in the trade. The highest technical innovations both at the workplace and within the company, whether in the production or in marketing section is set as a standard. This has enabled Scholl to develop into one of the leading companies in front-cooking.

Modern production techniques, such as laser and computer controlled procedures are a matter of course, as is the specific support in the planning of projects as well as their on site installation as scheduled. The wide range of products is suited to equip luxury hotels as well as all other areas of international gastronomy. From plate and cup warmers, bain-maries and shelf trolleys to heating bridges, radiators and hot servery units, none of which has lost any of their appeal in the gastronomic business, our present slogan is to be “……an idea ahead”, to recognise developments and face the new challenges of the global market. The company delivers its products worldwide among others to Scandinavia, Iceland, Switzerland, USA, Hong Kong and has well-known clients such as McDonald, Tchibo, Karstadt and Lufthansa for example.
